Alright folks, its the moment you’ve all been waiting for. A real contest from RealLotteryWinner.com!
This is a two part contest with two seperate winners! So, are you freaking out trying to figure out how to enter yet? Well first let me tell you the two ways to win.
When this blog reaches 500 RSS readers I will give away the first Macbook Pro! I’ve made it SUPER easy to sign up! I’ve added email RSS as an option, and I strongly suggest you sign up, because now I’m in the mood to start sharing the wealth! Keep in mind however that although it may be tempting for you to try to “game” this contest, I can see every email address that signs up via that link, so no funny business!!!
The second way to win is going to be a bit quicker I suspect. All you have to do is write a review or a nice post about my blog on your website! It needs to be at least 200 words, and it has to link here at least twice! I don’t care what the anchor text is or anything, just do it! This portion of the contest will ONLY be valid if at least 20 people participate, and the winner will be announced on Dec. 18th, so I can ship you the macbook just in time for Christmas!!!
In other news…. I’ve taken down the adsense from the site, the way I see it, it was not making any charity money, so I removed it. You may also notice that the theme of the blog is different. I will remain using free templates until I meet someone who is willing to do a WP theme for me.

Sup man! I’ve actually been an RSS subscriber since near the beginning. I think I first discovered your site/blog through StumbleUpon (how did we ever find cool things before that Firefox add-on?). hehe.
I’m glad to hear you used your winnings wisely. It’s crazy when people come into a sudden large sum of money, and a few months or few years later, they’re all out and have nothing to show for it. My plan has always been to take the lump sum, invest it, and live off the interest (re-investing some of the interest, too!). I’m also going to use some of the money to start a new business, create jobs, and make a positive difference in the world.
Until my big payday (lottery or otherwise), I’m having fun making money in the stock market. So even if I don’t ever win the lottery, I’m already building long-term wealth, starting with what I’ve got. And believe me, it’s not much. I saved up and started with $500. Anybody can do that.
It’s surprising that this day with all our technology and information available, living in America, that so many people aren’t creating more wealth. It’s an issue of poor financial education, nothing else. People just don’t know what’s out there, what’s possible… or have the training or support system to believe in themselves.
Anyway, good luck with getting your blog more popular. Whatever you do in life (this goes for all of us), enjoy it. Rich or poor, life is short and valuable. Carpe diem, brother.

Have you ever thought about being an angel investor or venture capitalist? You could help make possible a dream or vision that you believe in. And you can totally negotiate if, and how much, you get involved in the new business.
I know personally, I’m plan on being an angel investor. Actually looking forward to it.

I haven’t really considered it. I’m going to focus on starting profitable businesses. I’ve always been interested in business, and now I have the motivation and money to get started.

PS. I really like the angel investor idea that David had. I do agree that having the business background will give you much needed knowledge in the business arena. It is easy to put $ into places where it is sucked dry quickly so the more one knows the better. There are many here that can point you in the right direction on learning internet marketing. Ask for recommendations! Some things are not what they seem.

Oh yeah, I do use analytics, though I’m not sure I could get much keyword traffic here. I think this site is more of a word of mouth site and viral site.

LOL … I can get keyword traffic for just about anything! LOL … I guess it really depends on the “purpose” of your site and only you know that … and it will likely change and evolve over time - well, most blogs do. My goal with this blog, is to have a huge community of readers, that I can interact with, and impact in a positive way. I guess I should pay more attention to SEO and Keyword stuff, but I’m rather oblivious to the notion.
I just signed up after reading Suzanne Franco’s blog post. It’ll be interesting to see how you put your good fortune to use; I doubt there’s many of us who haven’t wondered what we’d do ourselves if we won and this will give an nice bit of insight into what it’s really like.
I like your idea with the trees by the way, it was a nice simple way of spreading a bit of Christmas cheer without being flashy.

I’m rather ignorant about RSS feeds, and I don’t see the other “do 200 words and you’re entered” thing I heard about. I don’t know what your blog is, but I’ll check it out after I type this. Meanwhile, I’ve been helping writers all over the world for about a decade and a half, and I have several hundred of them on “Skip’s Hollywood Hangout” on Yahoo. So once I do a little more research I’m going to tell them how to enter this contest. God knows they could use a new Macbook, I sure could.
That said, whoever you are, God bless you for figuring out ways to give back after winning the lottery - that’s exactly what I would do if I ever won. Did you know that we might not have the works of Shakespeare if not for a boon he received from the Earl of Southhampton? It seems that a lot of the people you’ll help with this giveaway are writers. Imagine the exponential contribution you might contribute if some writer who can do a lot more with a good computer wins and turns out something that helps all our lives? It could happen.
